We know that this is going to be another exciting and fulfilling year teaching at Shakerag. In TAG, your child will be exposed to creative problem solving, higher order thinking, advanced communication skills and research experiences throughout the year.
Challenge is the key word for TAG class...challenge yourself to go one step further; to work well with others; to think outside the box; and to make connections.
We look forward to getting to know your children, establishing wonderful relationships with them and encouraging them to always strive to meet their highest potential.
We know this will be the best year yet! GO SHARKS!

Greetings! I am Melinda Sawyer. I am originally from New Jersey. I moved to Georgia to attend Emory University where I earned my degree in elementary education. I started teaching in 1996 while earning a Master of Education from Mercer University. I have taught all grades from Kindergarten to fifth. I have been at Shakerag since 2006 and teaching in the TAG department since 2009.
I have two adult children who attended Shakerag, River Trail, and Northview. I love reading, traveling with my husband, and doing logic problems in my spare time. I am also mommy to two dogs: Louie (Yorkie) and Pepper (Shih tzu). |
Hello! I am Nancy Weisberg-Herald and I am happy to call Shakerag my home. I earned both my Undergraduate Degree and my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Emory University. I am currently starting my 16th year of teaching TAG in Fulton County and my 24th year of teaching overall. I have 2 children, Josh and Alex, who are now both living and working in Atlanta, which makes me a happy mom! My husband, Mark, and I love to watch movies, play with the grandkids, go to concerts and head back to my hometown of Sarasota to visit family and enjoy the beach. I also love to read, play tennis, and spoil my dog Toby! I am looking forward to another great year at Shakerag!
